Power Dry of New England has been a steadfast presence in the Boston area for over 40 years, dedicated to providing exceptional fire, flood, and mold damage restoration services. Our story began in 1977 when Bruce, the founder, established Clear View Cleaning, a small window and floor cleaning company. Operating with just a single station wagon and a limited set of equipment, Bruce focused on securing local business through relentless networking and word-of-mouth referrals. Within six short months, he had amassed over 250 accounts. Recognizing the growing demand, Bruce expanded his services to include carpet and upholstery cleaning, further solidifying his reputation as a reliable and skilled provider.

The year 1978 brought the devastating "Blizzard of '78" which crippled the Boston area. Rising sea and meltwater engulfed homes and businesses, leaving countless residents displaced and animals stranded. Driven by an innate desire to assist his community, Bruce, along with his dedicated companions, joined forces with a local rescue brigade to aid the victims in Revere, Massachusetts. Using a National Guard military amphibian and scuba gear, Bruce courageously ventured into the treacherous waters, risking his own safety to rescue neighbors and their beloved pets.

In the aftermath of the blizzard, the widespread water and mold damage was staggering. Seeing the urgent need, Bruce made a pivotal decision. He traded his window cleaning equipment for drying apparatuses, and Power Dry was officially born.
